The Solid Waste Advisory Committee is accepting applications for multiple vacancies at this time.
If you have a personal or professional interest in waste reduction, garbage, recycling, hazardous waste, or illegal disposal, your interest and input would be appreciated. Help Mason County develop comprehensive programs for the residential and business community.

This committee meets monthly in Building 1, Commissioners Chambers, and addresses aspects of the County waste management system. This includes:
- In-depth review of recycling programs in and outside of Mason County,
- Household hazardous waste programs for residents and businesses,
- Waste reduction goals and strategies,
- Disposal operations, and
- Grants and other funding issues.
Members serve three year terms, and are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Members are comprised of citizens, businesses, tribes, and could also include elected officials.
