| The Mason County Solid Waste Facility offers both commercial and non-commericial solid waste disposal as well as recycling services. It is a convenient place dispose of your used motor oil and antifreeze. Automobile batteries are also accepted for a small fee. Household batteries are accepted for free.

Mason County Household Hazardous Waste Facility |

| Free disposal of household hazardous waste is available to all Mason County residents. Don't mix different types of household products. Commercial hazardous waste is accepted for a fee at the Kitsap County Moderate Risk Waste Facility. Please call for details - 360-337-5777 or 1-800-825-4940.
Products must be clearly labeled and in their original unbroken containers.
This facility will be taking more items in the future. Materials accepted at the Mason County Facility:

Leave loose, no bags - no junk mail - no shredded paper.
Put junk mail and shredded paper in the Mixed Paper bin. |

Flatten all boxes. No cereal boxes or waxed coated cardboard. No pizza boxes or cardboard contaminated with food. |

Jars and bottles only. No dishes or window glass. All colors accepted,
no sorting necessary. Remove all metal caps and lids. Rinse to clean. Labels can remain. |

Used motor oil, transmission fluid, and antifreeze can be recycled at this location. There is a limit of five gallons per household per month. Please see the Toll Booth attendant before using the oil room. All oil and antifreeze must be signed in and the number of gallons recorded.
Please keep your used motor oil in capped containers, do not let it get contaminated with dirt, leaves, rain water or other elements.
Automobile batteries are accepted and recycled for a small fee. |
