If you wish a receipt, please enclose a written request with your payment otherwise your check is your receipt. Taxes are due April 30th and October 31st of each year. The postmark (US Post Office Cancellation) is the determining payment date for all mailed payments (RCW 1.12.070). To comply with this state regulation, all mail is reviewed by postmark date for payment of property taxes and assessments. NOTE: Postage machine dates are not valid. If you drop your mail into any mail receptacle, you must make certain the US Post Office cancellation will be appropriate for legal payment date. Payments with late postmarks will be returned for applicable interest and penalty charges.
