Northwest Parks Foundation

Mason County Parks and Trails Department has entered into an agreement with the Northwest Parks Foundation to assist the County in raising funds for parks projects, ongoing maintenance and operations, and other needs. The Mason County Board of Commissioners approved the agreement at the August 1, 2006 County Commission meeting.

The Northwest Parks Foundation is a private, charitable, non-profit (501c3) organization that works to support the parks, pools, trails, playfields, and other active recreation facilities in the region that help contribute to active, healthy lifestyles. The agreement with the NW Parks Foundation enables interested individuals to provide donations to the Mason County Parks and Trails Department through the “Parks Safety Net Fund.” The Park Safety Net Fund enables donors to direct their tax-deductible, charitable contributions to the desired park improvement or acquisition project of their choice.

If you’d like additional information regarding specific needs of the Mason County Parks and Trails system, please contact Director John Keates at (360) 427-9670, ext. 535.
