When a Property Evaluation Application is received, on-site sewage program staff will conduct a site inspection. Click here for an Application Form.

The suitability of a proposed site for a septic system is largely determined by the type and depth of soil and the depth to the water table. Other factors include the size of the property, the slope in the area, location of streams, wells, cuts and fills.

The applicant is responsible for arranging that test holes are prepared prior to the site inspection.  Click here for Test Hole Specifications.

A report will be provided with the results of the evaluation and will include information about the type of on-site system that the soils in the area of the test holes will support.
