Mason County Tobacco Policies: all Mason County property is designated smoke-free, including parks and fairgrounds. Tobacco sales, sponsorship, advertising and sampling is prohibited on county property or at county-sponsored events. (Ordinance No.91-06).
Smoking in Public Places law (RCW 70.160) protects people from exposure to secondhand smoke in all public places and places of employment. This includes no smoking within 25 feet of building entrances, windows, and ventilation intakes. The public may report violations of the law by contacting Mason County Public Health. Mason County Health Challenge - A worksite employee wellness program that encourages tobacco cessation and many other health-promoting behaviors. This fun, three-month competition starts in January. Employees can participate in teams or as individuals.
