Fire Apparatus Access Standards
|
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Mason County Fire Marshals Office has established a standard for access to homes and commercial businesses in order to maintain a safe and speedy response by our fire and ems personal. When a building permit has been applied for, the Fire Wardens will make a inspection to determine access, approach, grade, addressing, and other factors that might result in a delayed, or unsafe, response by emergency personal. If the site fails the inspection, the access will have to be improved to meet standards or a residential sprinkler system will have to be installed before final approval.
