Types of Building Permits
The main types of building permits are:
  • Building Permit: New homes (stick built and manufactured), garages, additions, remodels, decks, carports, re-roof.
  • Mechanical: Propane tank, propane stove, woodstove, fireplace, gas piping, furnace, heat pumps and new dryers hook-ups.
  • Plumbing: New hot water tanks, new toilets, new shower bathtubs and bath basins, and new clothes washer hook-ups.
  • Commercial: New building construction for other than residential use, remodels, additions/expansions of existing structures proposed for other than residential use, new tenants, and signs.
